As a way to raise awareness of the importance of black culture and to raise money for the cause, we created The Black Music Tee, a collaboration between New Commute and Rosa Unearthly Goods. Emblazoned with the images of only a minute fraction of the vital black artists invaluably important to the modern music we hear today, we recognize that without each and every one of these individuals and countless other icons, the music world and culture would be immeasurably different. With the sale of this tee, 100% of the profits were evenly and donated to Black Visions Collective and The Loveland Foundation.
We also teamed up with The Print Hub; a Black-owned Print House in Syracuse, NY. They donated their time & effort in the production of these shirts.
Black Visions Collective is a black, trans, and queer-led social justice organization and legal fund.
The Loveland Foundation provides financial assistance to Black women and girls nationally seeking therapy.
